Within a team based approach The Base Youth Worker will work with young people who are at risk of social exclusion due to substance misuse, negative education experience, poverty etc. The Youth Worker will develop and implement educational / developmental programmes through outreach, individual work, group work, Base innovations and joint local initiatives.

Requirements for both positions include:

Evening and weekend work on a rota basis

A professionally endorsed qualification in Youth and Community Work is essential plus two years experience of working with young people at risk is desirable OR an equivalent professional qualification or relevant degree plus two years full time experience of working with young people at risk is essential OR have worked as a full time Youth Worker without formal qualifications for at least 3 years.
