Teen Parent Support Programme

The TPSP is a programme which supports young mothers, young fathers and their families. The Base TPSP covers the areas of Ballyfermot, Bluebell and Inchicore.

You will have a project worker who will meet you on a one-to-one basis (or with someone else if you wish) while you are pregnant and for two years after the birth of your baby. You can discuss your concerns and needs with the project worker who will support you in whatever way is possible. The project worker can meet you in your home, the TPSP office or at another location of your choice.

Support will be given depending on what you need. It may be:

• Information about how to take care of yourself and your baby
• Support with being a parent
• Information on your child’s development
• Information about accommodation
• Information on your welfare rights and entitlements
• Information on the rights of the baby’s father
• Support to remain in education or training- if that is your choice
• Support with returning to education or training
• Links with other young parents.

The project worker will know the other services in your area and, if you wish, can speak to them on your behalf.

You may contact the programme and staff directly at:
